Physiotherapy is a treatment that can ease pain and improve movement if you have an injury, illness or disability. Physiotherapy is beneficial for recovering from sudden injuries, managing long-term, chronic conditions, or preparing for physical demands like childbirth or sporting events. It uses exercise, massage and other techniques such as acupuncture or taping.
Our physiotherapists are all Chartered Physiotherapists with an NHS background and many years of experience. They are also registered with the HCPC (The Health and Care Professions Council) and are required to meet high professional standards.

An initial consultation will normally take 45 mins and follow-up appointments are 30 mins. If required we can offer a free 10 min telephone appointment to talk to us first. We generally see people between two and six times for an episode of care.
We always take a holistic approach asking you about your general health status and lifestyle, as there are usually many factors influencing your current problem.
We examine all relevant areas of the body with a hands-on approach to check your posture, movements, strength and the feel of your soft tissues and painful areas. Sometimes we may need to refer you on to your GP for further investigations.
After diagnosis we provide a full range of personal physiotherapy advice and treatment based on your agreed goals. This will all start on your first attendance. We will explain your problem in an understandable way and give you the tools to improve your symptoms and help prevent future problems. We can email advice and exercises specific to you.
Please call our receptionists to confirm that the practitioner you wish to see and the treatment required will be covered by your insurance company. We can always provide an invoice for a paid appointment for you to reclaim the cost from your insurer.
