Our main priority is for you to feel safe and protected when you do visit us. To minimise the risks from Coronavirus we have enhanced our cleaning, hand washing and hygiene procedures in line with Public Health England advice, we will use appropriate PPE, and we will adapt our treatment approach where possible.
We have made the following changes to improve patient and practitioner safety:
- Clinic table covers and pillowcases have been removed so these can be wiped down between appointments
- We have “de-cluttered” the clinic furniture so there are less surfaces to clean
- We have moved the desk so we can sit further away from you
- New chairs have been purchased that are easier to clean
- Some reception furniture has been removed to meet social distancing guidelines and to reduce the use of shared areas
- Hand sanitiser is available in reception in addition to toilet facilities for hand washing
- Contact-less payments are now available
We have also made the following procedure changes:
- We follow Public Health England advice on cleaning, hand washing and hygiene procedures
- We will be wearing PPE, including masks, gloves, and disposable aprons as required
- You are welcome to use your own face covering or one of our single use surgical masks if you prefer
- We will contact you before your initial appointment to decide the most suitable treatment approach and complete some of the “paperwork” to reduce contact time
- If you are early for your appointment, we ask you to wait in your car and arrive on time at the clinic rather than waiting in reception where possible
- We are asking all patients to wash their hands in the reception toilets on arrival
- All working surfaces will be cleaned with disinfectant between appointments
- We will allow extra time between appointments for cleaning, and to limit contact for arriving and leaving patients
- We have an enhanced schedule of cleaning for the clinic, reception, toilets and the building entrance
